Like i said earlier i am offering the store as a meetup ground if interested. We have a boardroom away from all retail space we can have it in or do it on the retail floor.
Either way the calgary one will be the first one i have ever attended
I'd be interested in an Edmonton meet as well.
I can bring the following for people to try out:
-Audeze LCD-2 Rev. 2
@Headphonejunky -> Can you find out some weekday evenings and some weekend days that would work well for you and your shop to host the meet, then make a Doodle (doodle.com) or some other way for people to vote on the day. We should probably plan for a day in January to give people enough time to make plans to attend. If we decide on a day over the next month or so I can send out some info on more sites to draw a bigger crowd.
Cool, lets do the meet in February. Can you choose several days (or all available days) that would work well and make a doodle so people can vote on which day they want to meet. As it stands right now, I'd probably vote for a Saturday the 1st, 8th or 22nd of Feb.
I don't have much, but I've only been in the game for about a year
DT880 600 ohms
February would work for me too. Unless I have something different by then I'll be demoing the Denon AH-D600. Will have some apps for demo as well including CanOpener, Algoriddim DJay and Propellerhead's Reason for those interested.
If you guys are still hoping to meet in February, I'd love to come out and learn a little! I'm currently using modded Sennheiser HD558's on an FiiO E17, as well as Monster Turbine Pro Coppers. I can't decide if I should go for another pair of headphones next, or some in ears instead.
EDIT: Out of the Saturdays, only the 8th works for me =/
I really would like to organize an edmonton meet. Just never have done it before. I only attended one in calgary which was fun. Doing it on a saturday would be ideal. Id like to see it happen March 1. I think it would be a good day to have it and gives everyone a lot more notice instead of 2 weeks notice of the event.
I could talk to the SHure rep about having his demo station available for the event with all his In Ear Monitors available for people to listen to. We do not currently carry Shure but they make good in ear monitors.
It would give me time to invite some other dealers in town to bring some of their products as well like Grado or etc.
Does this interest a bunch of people??
March 1 is my proposal date.
Yep, March 1st works good for me.
I've upgraded my gear again since my previous posting in this thread. I'll be bringing:
- Sennheiser HD800's w/ Anaxilus mod
- HifiMan RE-400 In-ear
- Anedio D2 DAC/AMP
- Anedio D2 DAC/AMP
- Bottlehead Crack w/ speedball and warm tubes (Mullard 12AU7 input)
