as you all know, the k9 is discontinued and there are no replacement stylus left. however, you can fit at95 styli on it, so i bought a new jico/lpgear shibata stylus for it ($129+shipping). it tracks better and sounds more refined/smooth than the original stylus. however, i prefer the aggressive sound from the original more as it is better inclined for my taste. if you enjoy the k9, but want a more grown up sound, this is it or spend more for the adikt which is quite excellent.
the stylus has less than 10hrs use, pretty much brand new still.
there were different versions of the k9. an older one with silver body, and a later one with gray body. the gray version sounds cleaner. hence i gave away the silver one i had for comparison.
