I Basso HDP R 10 is IBasso DX 100 Japan Version impression and appreciation t...

The same house sound but much more realistic with more thickness and extended freq. Soundstage is wider and deeper but in the same house soud of imbricated instruments... Difficult to tell how the difference is big and how the house sound is permanent.

Hi All,

Does anyone know if I can replace my HDP-R10's battery? Recently my battery can only last 5 hours max.

Thanks

Kith

I believe the battery can be replaced if you can find a shop that does battery repair/servicing. I have to admit I am not 100% sure about this but looking at the battery setup, it does seem quite possible. You just need to find the right shop/person to do it for you. And opening up the R10 is not that difficult.

Hi, tdk2013 -

iBasso has previously confirmed that the DX100's battery is replaceable, so you may want to contact either iBasso or Hibino about battery replacement instructions for the HDP-R10. (You'll probably also want to search these forums.)

Still, as a person with impaired dexterity, I certainly wouldn't want to change the battery myself!

Regards,
Brian

Hello, friends, a Short update on The 32 gb unit,
Hibino Japan e mailed Hibino service in China for receiving my unit to repair it.
I had also e mailed J-made through Amazon. Waiting for a resolution.
They were all polite and understanding, cannot complain about that..
To me it is a last solution, as I don't find it too pleasing to pay a lot of money for a new toy and end up with a repaired one.
I would please like to hear your opinion about this..
Thx

Small companies will have defects once in a while.

Indeed, Lin, but you know what is strange? Hibino Japan were kind enough to provide me a repair while J-Made which I bought from through Amazon wants to REPLACE my unit or refund me, apologized for the trouble and proposed me to have them pay for all shipment costs. How about that?!

I think if Hibino or J-Made is willing to service your faulty R10, you should take them up on this. Better still if they are willing to replace it with a new R10. I know it sucks big time to buy a nice and expensive toy only to find it faulty. But I would get it fixed and be happy with it. The R10 is truly a nice sounding DAP. Good luck.

Im a new r10 owner,as far as sound quality concern i have had no complain, but if there is still rooms for improvement ill be more than happy to take advises.

I heard ppl said "neutron" was best app for sound quality, and also heard instaling neutron ll passby r10 dac,has anyone try that app on r10 yet?plz share ur impression if u do

From what I tried with my CIEMs I never heard sound differences between the apps. It changes sometimes the volume but never the sq.

My advice : root your R10, remove all apps which are useless for music, install rockbox android app. That's my configuration and I love it !
