I received the following explanation from Hibino iBasso about the changes in the firmware V8.0.3

Dear sir,

The following points are the main changes:

1, support Japanese language officially.
2, improve the response when you replay the music.
3, improve the pop noise when you turn off the LCD.
4, improve the output of Japanese DSD idtag info.
5, long press the [menu botton] on Now Playing List, you can change the replay turn(by artist, album, etc.).

Improve the pop noise means, they reduced the loudness of it I guess, otherwise they would say removed the pop noise right? Still good enough for me I admit.

Good enough to me too. The on / off pop is manageable, the random pop when an album ends is just plain unpleasant.

Bring on V8.0.3.

I wished that they would have an option where you could arrange your playlist by alphabetical order or to be able to move songs around.

I never use playlists. I always listen to my files through folder view. That should be pretty easy right? Also gapless works too I believe?

Anybody ever had their HDP-R10 not be able to turn on? Left it plugged in while I was at work and got home and unit is just a paper weight now. Contacted seller on Amazon to see about how to get repaired but is weekend so not expecting quick answer.

Not sure if it will work but try to leave it charging for a few hours - at least 4-5 hours. The battery could have been completely drained and it will take a few hours of charging to get the device started again.

It was on charger when I went to work but will try another charger.

In that case, tough luck. I thought the battery went flat. No harm trying another charger if you have one.

You know, it could be the charger that's broken.

The charger works on other devices. so it's not that, guess it bricked itself.

Did you try resetting the unit from the reset on the side. Unplug from charger first and press reset for a couple of seconds . If this does not work try the same with charger plugged in. It happened to me once and this fixed it. It will not delete your music..

Yeah, try this.
