I have just received some news about the new firmware V8.0.3 from Hibino iBasso. Apparently a beta version exists and it is currently being tested by the users in Japan (they sent me a link to download it, but they said it is not ready for public release).

Nice news. So the problems are gone now? Do you know anything about that? (pop sound and the delay)

I have not tried the beta version V8.0.3 yet.

I wouldn't try it since it is unstable. I don't want to risk turning it into a paperweight.

I still can't decide whether go to safe choice and buy something in Eu region or import this. Importing this has the best price/performance ratio and I know none can beat the sound but I am scared if I need repair I will have to send it to Japan and get it back. Shipping to Japan costs a lot and all I am not sure how economic it would be.

Still, it amazes me every time I read things about the player.

Which way is safier, amazon through tenso or pricejapan.com directly? I read nothing but great things about pricejapan.com so I was thinking about going that way.

I trust Amazon more for warranty purposes, but it may cost a bit more.
