If you hear direct from the line out , you can here the pure sound from the sabre Dac chip .
And from the coax out has excellent SQ too .
That's why the pure sound from the line out is much better than from headphone out .
Please try it by your self than you can understand what I mean better SQ biggrin.gif

I understand that you think the internal amp is very good. On the other hand you have earlier stated that the DAP sounds better with external amps, which means that the output from the onboard amp isn't as good. What I am getting at is: Why do you think it is so?

As standalone dap HDP R 10 the Sound Quality is better than my DX 100
If I use the line out and coax out with external amp , the Sound Quality is better than as stand alone HDP R10.

This is the result that I hear from my experience with my HDP R10 .

Guys, did I understand correctly? Hibino will correct that ear/driver killing pop sound and it will not pop anymore? I am telling you, if it happens and if you guys can have 10 12 hours of flac playing time, I am in, as soon as possible I will buy it, doesn't care how it will come to EU or how much tax I will have to pay, it will be end game for me.

Apparently they will fix it and the 5 second delay after selecting a song. I was looking at the AK120, but I don't think that it scales up as well to this since it uses a relatively cheap Wolfson DAC and the less powerful amp, not to mention the 3 or 5 ohm impedance which makes it bad for many IEMs. This is end game for me unless something just as good or better sounding, has better UI with a touchscreen and is smaller comes out.

I would like to read you guys impressions about the pop and delay, if they really fix it, this summer after my master exams, I can reward myself with that :) Also, Hibino will fix that pop sound and all but what about iBasso? They won't fix their DX100?

They are 2 completely different companies. Both if the problems aren't a deal breaker but can get pretty annoying.

I must say pop is really annoying for me. But if they fix it, I would decide to buy it actually despite the not perfectly sensitive touchscreen and UI.

I thought if Hibino can do it, iBasso can do too. It is almost the same device after all.

I feel like these things aren't all that important. What is is the sound quality right?

You are right, but user experience and not being frustrated while using it a little bit important too. Btw, let's say I bought it and shipped it to EU. After some years, the battery will die eventually, how I am gonna replace it with brand new ones? Because I really don't want to change the DAP every 2 years.

You can send the battery back to Hibino and they will ship you a new one I think. The battery is replaceable (thank god!).

I get about 12 but others say that they get about 9. Not so sure why.

I have both DX100 and HDP-R10 and I must say I am impressed by the battery life of the latter. With wav files and CIEMS I get 12-14 hours, depending on the volume I use.

I will use flac and ciems, I don't think I will use it with high volume levels since I care about my hearing. I hope I will get around 12 hours. So far so good. Now I have to pass my exams and then reward myself tongue.gif
