But I think they are allowed to open the pack and looks what it is inside, in that case wouldn't they find out it is actually something way much more expensive?

I highly doubt that customs people are into high end audio gear.

You are right too, but bad miracles can happen too in this life. I still want to hear the French mates impressions.

Also, I feel more secure when I buy things officially distributed in here. You know if something happens you will have a place to send it back etc etc.

I wish every brand in Asia would do that like FiiO. We are missing wonderful things in here, or getting them is just a painful process.

True. The taxes are pretty annoying in Europe. In Australia we only have to pay taxes on stuff over $1000.

You make me feel like doing my PhD at there. Any chance for a molecular biologist? happy_face1.gif

Is 8.0.1 the most recent firmware for HDP-R10? As far as I know there are only two firmware versions.

I've went through the thread but can't seem to find an answer. Is the output of r10 less / same powerful as the dx100? I don't really understand all these voltage and current stuff, physics was my weakest subject in high school, can someone just tell me yes or no??? Anyone tried r10 with he-500??? Thanks.

I thought the latest firmware is 8.0.2?? Please double check by doing a search as I am not 100% sure about this.

I just receive my HDP-R10, I paid 39€ for taxes, the product price were declared at 40€. It's a shame... lol the liberalism, pfff just a pretext ! Finally I have paid 738€ :) cool

You are right, I have just found the firmware version 8.0.2 on the hibino web site. Thank you!

You are most welcome.

Hum, first feedback, exclusively about the hardware/software capabilities, not the sound quality (which is great, but it's not realistic with 4 hours of playback)

- The poc is as loud as on the DX100, but with less impact. It is certainly as much dangerous as on the DX100 (no idea), but it is less aggresive.

- The power on is very fast for an android device, even with more than 50go of music. Less than 30 seconds.

- My µSD of 64go has some difficulties to work well, the first times. I above this way, but I will configure it later.

- The HD player is very poor of options, it works well (fluide), and do his job, but not more.

That is not very comforting frown.gif

On my DX100, since I load most of my music in the internal memory (not much on my external 64GB sd), the startup is also quite fast. I would say about 30 secs.

But I would like to read your input on the sound quality. That is what interest me. While I don't expect it to be much better than the DX100, I hope it is good enough to upgrade ksc75smile.gif

Is there something wrong with your battery? I get from 10-12 hours of music on a full charge.
