Edit: Check out Post #59 in this thread. This is the kind of connection I was referring.

Yes, that's the cable that I used and I plugged it into the ipad 2 usb out slot and it doesn't charge.
What I meant was the wall wart sort of thing. See below. Sorry for the huge image TDU05-003-01__47419.1338708891.1280.1280.jpg

Could you do me a favour please, could you look at the fine print of the charger to see if it's 1A or 2.1A? If it's 1A I may understand why it takes a long time to charge the HDP-R10. If it's the 2.1A then it should actually work fine (charging at normal duration).

It's 2.1 A. I already checked a while back.

Cheers. According to your last post you left it for only 1 hr and the battery meter didn't move. Was your music playing at the same time (i.e. draining the battery whilst charging)? I usually kill the Music app when not in use. Also did you try leaving it charging for more than 1 hr? Like overnight charging?

Nope, didn't play music while charging. I will try charging overnight when the battery is drained.

I Basso HDP R 10 is IBasso DX 100 Japan Version impression and appreciation thr

My hdp charge via micro usb.

I mainly use the charger of my google nexus 7.

When the hdp is off and i connect the charger, the hdp comes on and start to charge.

To get fast charge, i need to switch off again and hdp continue to charge.

Hi Sean

With the cable like your cable above , I can charge through USB but the time to charge longer than use wall charger .
USB to micro USB can not charge my HDP R 10

Karistep, the USB charger of the Nexus 7 is a 2A, that explains why it charges smile.gif it's great.

BTW, Anakchan, where do you get one of these cables? It may be not charging because my cable is dodgy. Everyone else's seems to work.

Here is some more information on the possible difference between dx100 and R10.

As we can see in the photo, R10 in the circuit after the DAC has OPA 827K.

Dx100 as I know has OPA 627 after DAC. But I've never seen a photo with dx100 audiotract where I could possibly see what is there in the circuit after the DAC, cause of the wiped-out OP name. If the information is correct, here is the main HW (besides SW) reason for the difference in sound. And yes, OPA 827 might sound better.

In Akihabara. Mine's for the CLAS but I believe they have for smaller diameter plugs like the HDP-R10. But I don't know the polarity of the tip for the HDP-R10 though.

Apparently, it is a 3.5 mm DC.

And do you know if the tip is + or -?
