I just did this today.  The R10 battery was around $44 from Hibino.  I don't know yet how much Tenso will charge for their fee and shipping.

Does anyone have a link for where I might find firmware updates?

The iBasso site doesn't have anything and I couldn't seem to find it at the Hibino iBasso site either (although I may have missed it since everything is in Japanese).

Is there one for the DX100? I woudn't mind giving it a try if it's worth it...

it says HDP R10/DX100 on the file, I copied the update.img file to the root of my DX100 but it didnt pick it up, guess its only the r10.  Would love to try this on the DX100.

I have to use a memory card without nothing on it

Ended up using the ibasso tool. Worked great. My DX100 now thinks it's an hdp-r10 and once I figured out how to change it to English all is good. Very responsive and sounds great.

Damn... very interesting. Is it still running gingerbread? Can you check what android it runs? Does it have google market?

here's a screen shot it running on my DX100.  It doesn't have google play, in fact it's VERY minimal, which is probably why is runs so well. My DX100 has never ran this well, ever, even after I rooted it and 'froze' a bunch of stuff.  I'm liking this a lot.
