I agree. these Korean manufacturers are extremely cocky towards foreigner buyers. They ask way too much money than what their Japanese and Chinese competitors are asking. You barely see any Japanese or Chinese DAP makers charging over 1K for their DAPs. Also, there's virtually no customer service. They ignore e-mails or reply two weeks later with terrible english.

I was checking them out several days ago. I think they're worth it for $400, but not $2230.

So yodobashi camera has stated they won't be able to help. Unless I fly down to Japan and go to their shop for exchange or refund.

Hibino on the other hand has yet to reply. Been 3 days since I sent the email to hibino intrtsound.

Right now, I'm happy to just get it to work again. Other then pressing the reset button or (holding the power switch and volume up button)
Is there any other options ?

Dude, I use Rockbox on hdp r10, its superb.

I prefer it over HM901, and hm901 ui is... just making me leaving it home all times.

Initially figured it was low battery. But now when its plugged into the wall charger. It shows no sign of charging. Have tried pressing the reset button on the side but its not working. Charger feels warm so I assumer its working. Anybody experienced this ? My unit is only going for its 5th charge cycle.

Its known problem that sometimes dx100 or hdp ... lock on lowest discharge, its extremely rare but happens. Do as following: unscrev cover, disconnect and connect back battery, screw back.

It will boot normally. For me it happened once only, it will never happen if you do not leave it to discharge overnight.

Question to anyone, can anybody tell if the HDP r10 firmware can be upgraded to kitkat android? I know it requires someone to import it there, but it would bring giant advantage... it is the bluetooth 4.0 support :(

With bluetooth 4 you can just hole one of those tiny media remotes and controll everything while player is in jacket.

I can even give some cash for this !!!

Firmware developers! - PLEASE PORT IT TO KITKAT!

Hello. I have downloaded that file and put it into R10's internal storage. How can I install this app???

I can't find any way to see that apk file on this device ;/

thanks in advance

there is two ways:

 1) use adb (enable usb debugging and plug ibasso to computer), then after you install adb, just type in command line:

adb install yourfile.apk

2) Another way is, copy your apk to android and click it to install it in ES file explorer.

If you dont have any stuff on your android, use adb - using adb you can install any apk without google play market app :))) (including file manager)

I installed on mine also Holo Launcher :D its really nice.

All you need is to: donwload apk files and adb tool (adb is here http://developer.android.com/tools/help/adb.html)
