Yep, this thing is annoying as beep. Delay when you skip tracks or select a track. Continuous play it doesn't have delay between tracks. Warmer, but not as resolving as X5(extremely clear and detailed). sounds like laid back version of X90, but with much wider stage, more dynamic, and more definition to sound. Wait, the damn thing sounds better than yesterday. Lovin the stage, but I like X5 better because of it's resolution as my NT-6 outputs high resolutioni. It doesn't play files on uSD after I loaded up files on the internal memory. What gives?
I just found out why. After you add additional files, the player is scanning the new files even thought it doesn't tell you it's doing that. That's why when you try to play music right after you add files, it will not play, you have to wait until it's done scanning all the new files, and it can take quite a lot time if lots of files has been added. There is a way to know if the files are done scanning yet, if you go into folder view and look at the music file listing and on the right shows the duration of the music, and if it say 0:00 that means it's not scanned as there should be value for duration instead of 0:00.
The R10 shines with live recordings, live recording sound extremely realistic, and it pushes little nuances in the recording as I hear subtle things going on around Eric Clapton on his Unplugged album. Actually he sounds different. It's weird, it's like I'm listening to him for the first time. I think I'm hearing his voice more accurately, that's why it sound so different. Added definition reveals his true vocal tonality I believe. Vocals definitely shine with these.
