I can check when Fujiya will open up to accept schedules for the day for taking impressions.

Hi, do you have any information about this festival? Thanks.

Yea. I was wondering what date it would be. Sadly, their festival might be when I am in school and unable to travel.

Skoog, I think you might like it given your past purchases, but anyway try the universal at the spring festival if you can. It's fairly faithful to the final result, and you'll have a clear image of what to expect for that amount of cash. You can see later whether it's worth it or not.

edit1: are the cable connectors different between the private 222/333 series and the mh334/tg334 series? I couldn't tell them apart based on their pictures redface.gif

Frenchblat thanks for the info and suggestion. I will be sure to check it out at the festival.

Sigh, more questions...I've begun to annoy myself.

Anyways, was wondering if anyone had any insight regarding the discrepancies of the Pro Audio Series and the Private Series. Different tuning? Can't see  Fujiya-Avic or e-earphones or even Jaben listing the Pro offerings either. Is it more of an exclusivity sort of deal, professionals only, etc?

All I know is the pro series offers a non-DW 335, which is double tweet instead.

Yup, I find that one more interesting... actually it'd be most interesting if there were a 336DW, to give more balance to the high end, that'd be one massive CIEM; it'd take up more space than an 8.A.

Well are you not more steered towards Private 333 or MH334 ?

Oh and is it just me or does the 004 cables actually look more robust (or less brittle, mind you, however one might want to put it) near the entry of the actual cable to the connector pin (more or less because of the sheathing). I haven't many fond memories with the connectors on the TG334 which appears to be a similar style as with the 000 cables - that is, the sheathing doesn't fully extend to the connector pin's body. The pair I loaned had the cable snap at exactly that area. Though the owner/friend had noticed that area getting weaker before, so he hadn't held it against me too much (thank goodness).

 vs

That being said I can't see a cable cinch on the 004 cables, but I can see a very makeshift one on the 000s.

Anyone with real, hands on experience with either of the cables have any insight on this?

On a more personal note I'm desperately saving up for one of these ATM, if it isn't obvious already. The C435s are pretty much first in the running for now, but the MH334s (spkrs01 hears the TG334s more to how I hear them so his comments on those definitely piqued my interest as I think we might have similar tastes) and the Pro Audio series (especially the 335 non-DW) makes one wonder...

I am also wondering. But I would be afraid of the 435. spkrs01 told me they were so analytical he would use his to monitor source quality. So not for pleasure...kind of scary. I would be afraid that 335DW is too bass heavy. Like you, I am not sure we can purchase the non DW 335 but would be interested by this too or the MH334.

Pleasure? With gear? Unthinkable.

If I'm springing for such a substantial investment with these (as I'll likely replace the ER4P/LCD-2 monitoring setup afterwards) I'll need them to be as raw and as iridescent as possible. Personally I find solace during meets and auditions when I have something so ridiculously reference to tear all the gear into shreds (which is why I always try and grab the HD800s when the situation calls for one), and I'm beginning to think that the portability factor would be a major plus in this area.

Especially factoring in the price (keep in mind I would have to go through Jaben, not to mention I would have to pay outrageous international fees due to my location, etc) there needs to be some aspect of practicality/line of reasoning that I can exploit other than morbid curiosity. I simply would not have the means to justify them otherwise.

Not to mention my threshold for dryness is rather high, and I would be more inclined towards that sort of signature anyways even if it was some sort of $8 wunderphone rather than a $1600+ CIEM.
