Very cool, would you mind sharing with us the experience of going to their Ginza facility and telling us what it was like?

Same here. It'd be interesting to see why Suyama-san always insists on taking the impression at their place, not to mention there's a handful of document you need to sign before paying.

Maybe it keeps the "exclusivity"? Also I'm bringing a Japanese-speaking friend since the people at suyama are asking me to smily_headphones1.gif

They also ask me to bring someone that can speak japanese. I think that people at Fitear can't speak english very well. During ear impression process, they might want you to do some movement.

They do the impressions each ear individually, and will ask you to make a few chewing movements and moving the lower jaw left to right a few times. In the time frame that they have to tell you to do this, bringing someone that speaks Japanese is advisablewink_face.gif

Edit: This diagram is on their website, somewhere???

It's not fake. The website that I got it from is ALO dealer in Thailand. I post it here just for fun and there is no official thread for this DAC/AMP yet (ALO website doesn't have it on). I probably get it when they release it. That's all.

Hey everyone I just got back from having my impressions done at Suyama. It was a great experience, especially for my first pair of CIEMs.

I went with my brother-in-law (since he can speak Japanese) and it was really fun. The people there are really nice and accommodating. The whole process took like 30 minutes and involved a waiver of some sort referring to recent issues with your ears or something, choosing the type and color scheme for your CIEMs, if you want to engrave it, testing the CIEM, and getting the impressions done.

The impressions were pretty fun to do, all the audiologist does is place a little piece of foam 5cm from your eardrum in your ear and put a lot of silicone over it, and probably even over most of the ear. This goes on for about 5-6 minutes per ear and afterwards its done!

All in all, great experience! Had some pics and will post those soon I guess :)
