Thanks for your reply,

I wouldn't say that it's convenient and better since I was "caged" here in a really small town.

I haven't tried to drop an email to them since it's hard for me to ask about my preference in Japanese language.(I'm not Japanese)

Next month I'll be travelling to Osaka, hope so I can have several days to do audition there(e-earphone)

how about fitear monet, will it satisfy my music preference? and about the SR-mod,is it limited only for mh334/mh335? I'm still looking for information here :D

You don't have any friends who are native speakers of the language there?

If you do have one, then it'll make things so much easier. Try asking Anak for his opinion on this, since he resides in Japan, I believe.

Please do so, since you'll almost certainly use it for a long, long time. You wouldn't want to have any regrets making a purchase that you could have avoided.

I have not auditioned the Monet, so I can't give you any insights on it.

The SR-mod is only available to customers who have the existing MH335DW (I believe the number of bores in the custom plays a part, if you take a look back at the previous pages), & the service is only available to the Japanese public until further notice.

IIRC, mtthefirst, Anak, & Rudi all have the SR-mod, so I believe they could give you in-depth insights on it.

thanks for your advice,

I got some Japanese friends here, even asking them here is quite hard as I haven't found one that's really into audio.

I'll try to audition as much as possible so I can pick the one which suit the best to my ears.

Will be looking forward for the insights from those who did the mod :)

You don't necessarily need to have one who's into audio; the thing is with a native speaker acting as a translator, accompanying you to the office to place an order, take ear impressions or to ask questions, it'll make the whole facilitation a much more smoother process.

Well, good luck & I wish you all the best in your quest to obtain a FitEar custom. :)

PM sprks01 and Kiats because they own most of the Fitear customs for a while and can share with you some experiences. For SR mod, ask the ones mentioned before.
I only have one pair of customs and starting to rethink if they are for me...

I've heard that the Monet deals with anisong from the (70s?). Well either way, it was created not with "modern" anisong in mind. Of course you get the feeling of exclusivity :D. Since only dem lucky Japanese residents can purchase the Monet.

I had been using some FitEar univeral IEMs for a while, but after reading some posts regarding the CIEM,now I'm considering the CIEM version of it, there are two that pop up my head right now,MH335DW/monet (not sure though if I can still order monet at this time).

Usually I listen to some Jpop/rock/anime music, since I can't even give it a try here, I'm not sure which one should I pick

How about the DWSR, may I know how much it will cost for that one?

PS: I'm not getting the CIEM anytime soon, so I can still save up some money if it cost for more than the MH335DW,and I do live in Japan.

Thanks in advance :D

I think the Monet was made for your genre of music. AND only available in Japan which is where you're at. I may be wrong.

I tried a demo of 435 at Jaben HK out of my RWAK240 and from a very brief trial it sounds a bit too analytical to me. Maybe it would fare better on the 901.

Mike, the 435 is indeed the most neutral of the Fitear customs. And very transparent and shows up the character of the chain.
