Thanks Anak, I've read those impressions. I can't seem to get any conclusion as to which one to get so its down to cable quality.

It'll be nice to see some closeups of the connectors themselves cos I quite like Fitear's own connectors, im not sure how the L-shape will hold up.

In your opinion, does the Tralucent Gold/Silver kill the bass of the 335?

Are those Toxic cables like whiplash which you have to wait for a period of time depending on your luck?

When did you place your order?i placed mine on 7th Jan...looks like it will be a long wait still..

Hi CHG

I would actually start with the 001 from your Parterre on your incoming pair of 435, get a feel of them, and take it from there with other cables.........

There will be a period of waiting. Unless you be opportunistic - when Frank finishes a batch, he may have a few that have not been promised: then you get it very quickly. :)

In my opinion, nope, but helps in treble extension to make it a little more balanced. It's all a preference thing and if you talk to MTTheFirst, he liked the SW more (at least in my conversations with him - although it seems he's gone Piccolino which I never tried) whilst I prefer the Tralucent Silver/Gold for SQ. So it's not really which is definitively better and more about individual preference. I should try his Piccolino one day if he comes down to Tokyo.

As for ergonomics, the Toxic wins hands down. It's much more flexible, doesn't coil on its own, etc.

As for comparing against the 000, it doesn't satisfy me by comparison to the SW nor Tralucent. In fact, personally for my ears I find it hard to distinguish between the 000 & BTG Starlight and personally feel the BTG provides better value for money over the 000.

BTG is good value and he uses connectors very similar to Fitear.
What i don't really like is that it requires some manual DIY in order for them to fit into the customs.
In fact my intention to change the cable is for ergonomics.
Already very happy with the 001 for the edm genre i listen to but the cable is hard to manage.
So far, the SW seems like a better bet. What I'm wary about the Tralucent Gold/Silver is too much on the highs.
What I can't stand is sibilance, which some edm tracks by its nature tend to tip over if use the wrong combination of equipment.
Unfortunately, i can't audition either of them before plonking down the money.

oh FAW Copper looks very well made.

But seems not many people own it, can't seem to find reviews.

@skoog5600Thanks.

The rule of thumb for c435 is copper or silver?

Oooh! This could be divisive... It all depends on what you are looking for. If you want a warmer, more organic sig, then definitely copper.

I'm still awaiting my BW. I have heard the 435 with the TWCu 8 connector - its very nice. As Spkrs01 pointed out earlier, that's the beauty of the 435 - it is so transparent, it will show up the basic character of the upstream components.

I am currently running my 435 with either the Toxic Virus or the Tralucent silver/gold - these two cables seem to suit me the most. I also like the 435 with the crystal piccolino.

So, there are no hard and fast rules for this.

At least as far as my ears go. :)

No worries.

Indeed! When I next pass through HK, we should all get together with spkrs01 and have some fun with cable rolling. smily_headphones1.gif
