The FitEar CIEM Impressions Thread - Page 131

Eve,

My 2 cents worth is that if you are not concerned about neutrality and full extension, then either the MH334 or the 333. I believe it was Gavin who said that when the singer sings, it feels like she is caressing your ears. I could not agree more.

The MH334 is like the TG save that it's bass is more controlled and the treble less extended but more controlled. I suspect it has to do with the titanium horn in the TG. Please note that my MH334 is still in the works. Hence, my impressions are from demoing the MH about 6 or 7 times aggregating about 2 hours of listening.

These are the two I suspect you will get most joy out of. If you listen to acoustic or jazz vocals like me, you will find the bass of the 335 a wee bit intrusive.

Hope this helps.

Always happy to discuss. smily_headphones1.gif I am so excited for you! Brave new world, but you won't regret whatever you choose. I haven't.

For me and my usage of the FitEar customs....

The C435 is my favorite by far. I would try and explain my reasons. Basically, they are a tool for assessing upstream, and can be made to sound how you want them to.

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Kiats, Boxing Day last year. He had a brought along three high end 3rd party cables. Every cable change was heard immediately and distinctly, with a total characteristic change of presentation from the C435. This illustrates how transparent and revealing the C435 are. There are only a few IEM that are this transparent in my opinion.

They are also the priciest of the FitEar customs line up, if you take consideration that it comes attached to the 004 cable, and perhaps there is a reason for this ..............

Yes. It was a great meeting. The first of many, I am certain.

On the astonishing transparency of the 435, I wholeheartedly agree with sprks01. When I get a new DAP or cable, the 435 will tell me the character of that part of the chain unfailingly.

As for the issue of cable rolling, that's a conversation for another. smily_headphones1.gif

Eve, I note you saying you don't know much about the C435. Why don't you have a look at the reviews here on head-fi: http://www.head-fi.org/products/fitear-private-c435-custom-in-ear-monitors

Happy reading!

Using the only landmarks I have : Kaede 1P2 and the 334, where would the 435 fall in that spectrum? I'm guessing in between the 334 and the 1P2?

Eve, I'm afraid for this, I will have to defer to Gavin or someone else who has the Kaede and 1P2. However, you are absolutely right in saying that the C435 is much clearer and more neutral than the TG334.

I am sure VZ is going to order one, he is a collector :happy_face1: Would like to learn your impressions too. Not that I can buy it, I know, as a European, they don't really show any service to us, but who knows maybe some day they will come up with new universals, like 335 or 435.
