Avoid mainland China for Fitear...it is much more than HK in Shanghai, almost double the price of Japan.

Oh.......

that really isn't too comforting....

But if it's mainland China, you could barter??

Either way, Beijing is the only perm residence I have so other places won't really work.

*Darn, I knew there was a caviat somewhere...

Find a proxy to help you in HK.

That would mean I would have to do my impressions myself?

Or could I do the impressions at Jaben Beijing and send them over to a friend in HK?

If u arent gonna order from them its unlikely they will do impression
I've learnt that you get 1 month to try and decide if they e comfortable or need a refit...if ur in overseas it will not be easy during that period

Eve, I agree that they won't: doesn't make sense for them when you are expressly doing an impression with them to send to another Jaben to avoid paying them.

For after sales service, you may (only may) be able to obtain service from your local Jaben, if you can arrange that ahead of time, before you make the purchase.

Just my thoughts.

Just so you know, Fitear uses a greenish compound and its a closed mouth impression that requires the user to perform jaw movements during the procedure.

The compound is definitely different from the standard pink ones i've seen.

So theres no way they will accept privately made impressions other than their own approved ones done with a specific process.

Hmm, guess I will be able to make a trip to HK afterall (prob around 3 days or so?). Hopefully their rules are less strict and I can have a friend pick em up or something.

So...if I like the TG334 sound, and prize vocals over everything (well, balanced but with an emphasis on vocals).

Which custom would be right for me? (doing some speculating before my trip)

It seems like the only options currently are:

MH334 (seems a bit close to the TG334 in sound. I'd be happy with it, but maybe another option could be better?)

MH335DW (the bass amount kind of worries me. If the bass starts distracting the concentration around the vocals, that could be unpleasant for me. Although, if I go with this route, I could "plan" another trip to Japan for the studio reference upgrade? Of course there are many factors involved with this route: availability, rules and policies etc)

C435 (frankly, I don't know much about this one besides the fact that it's the most neutral among the bunch)

Monet (not really an option, but I want it, knowing it will be impossible to obtain for foreigners).

U can demo all of them in Jaben HK. Enjoy

Any thoughts on the units I mentioned?

Though I say I'll be able to go to Jaben HK, it's still 6 months away from my trip (going in July).

Kinda giddy~

AnakChan, Gavin and Kiats are the men you need to PM or ask...  All of them helped me in some way for my purchase of C435.. but I am really not a vocal guy more instrumental/neutral type

My friend have both C435 and MH334. C435 is more energetic and sparkly than the MH334, vocal remains lovely. MH334 have tighter bass and overall an improvement over the TG334!. MH335DW doesn't really sound boomy, bass is nice and tight with massive smack but there is certainly more bass amount than the MH334.

Look out for C333 too, that is an excellent CIEM, my favourite CIEM before Fitear brings out the MH334 and how I really got into FitEar. Give all of them a listen, your mileage may varies.

Since when Ra97oR have a friend?? LOL Anyway,MH334 with crystal piccolino cable are much boomy and bassy than i expect, but still can hear an overall improvement from bass to high compare to the FITEAR 000 cable. however the 000 do a better job in terms of C435 making it more balance and enjoyable to listen while keeping its energetic high.

C333 is good but not for that price.

The bass on MH335DW is a step up from the TG334, treble is sweeter on 335 too, thats all i can say after listening to the demo.
Price wise I think its the most expensive one among C435 and MH334.
It will still come with 001 cable by default.

Hope that helps.
