As I accepted that unless I visit Asia, I won't be able to get MH335DW, can someone recommend a ciem that sounds very similar to it, as close as possible I mean?

IMHO - the 335s are in a league all their own, so not much out there that matches it. I compared the JH16s, 13s and not even close. Others can chime in ...

maybe Roxannes or K10's?

JH can't be in the same sound signature I believe, they have way much brighter treble I think. Also they are supposed to be colder and more analytical than 335, according to what I read.

I have a chance to demo Roxanne for a week and I would say that sound signature of Roxanne and 335DW are different. Roxanne is brighter and very focus especially on trebles. Trebles on Roxanne extended further than 335. Bass is also tighter for all over the bass adjustment range. Mids are quite similar in term of resolution and clarity. I would compare Roxanne to upgraded MH335DWSR that I demo during the headphone festival in Tokyo last year, since the trebles are improved a lot more.

So Roxanne is higher step or side step, in your opinion?

higher step against what?
at this point, evaluating totl iems usually boil down to which ones you can buy and what your sig preference is really.

It depends. For me the Roxannes (which is the same unit as what MTTheFirst is testing now) the trebles are more extended but I seem to have this sensitivity to certain peaks. I thought it was around the 12kHz mark, but another Roxannes reviewer (in the Rox thread) thought it was more in the 8kHz.

The way the trebles are extended (to my ears) aren't as "smooth/consistent" within the higher frequency range as to my ears they're more neutral but with some peaks in the upper treble. I can get used to this but it took me awhile and wasn't a natural acclimatization for me.

This is definitely not true. Listening to the 335s again and the sound sig is far from the Roxannes or the K10s. Its really a different sig.

Having listened to the 335, I do not think anything can sound like it. I do think the 846 has some similarities.
