I also want to add that this new Melomane is a bit more fun to listen to. The bass is more tame yet a bit tighter.

Others may chime in, but personally I think the MH335s without SR is too warm for classical. As for the SR, from the little chance I demo'd them a month or so back, it would be suitable for classical.

Not sure really if others can give a full on impression as the SR has not been released to the public so nobody has a pair.

To all folks in Japan, I have a question for ya!

We know that FitEar made MH334 then TG334 universal form. TG334 was a huge success. I am not sure but I think they are out of order on pretty much everywhere. Maybe Suyama finished with them?

Now, they are working on improving MH335DW, making it SR. I, more or less, accepted that it is pretty much impossible to get FitEar ciems from Eu. My question is, is there a very small tiny little bit chance to see TG335DWSR, or something similar, you got my point?

It would be definitely on my list to buy despite its universal form (yup, custom lover here). So if anyone hears something, a gossip, an information. Please let me know. If you can't post in the thread, a PM is always welcome.

Looking at what FitEar has done to their Universal line-up such as the Melomane and Parterre Blanc for 2013, maybe Suyama-san will venture into new customs for the year of 2014?

I am not from Japan :D

I do not think Suyama san is finsihed with the TG334. It is still available but limited in stock due mainly to the very low production - and high demand.

As for the possibility of a universal 335DWSR, anything is possible but it is unlikely because for the ciem to have the SR feature, there must be 3 bores in the ciem. I am not sure if 2 bores is good enough for the service upgrade. Even current owners of the 335DW may not be suitable for the full SR upgrade. The full upgrade involves a titanium tube in one of the bores and some adjustments to the "network" inside the ciem. The latter is done to improve the overall resolution of the 335DW. For those who have a small ear canal and have only a single or double bore in their 335DW, they may still benefit from the adjustment to the network. Please note that nothing is set in concrete at this stage and we just have to wait for new information from Suyama san.

Happy New Year to everyone on Head-Fi.

All I want is honestly, I accepted I can't get a FitEar ciem from here unless I travel to Japan or something. So if they release an universal 335, that would be the device I would buy as soon as it is available. Why not TG334? I will be skipping that one, I have SE5way and there is not much a TG334 can add on it. 335 on the other hand seems something very interesting. It is rare that wee see very high resolution iem while still keeping a good amount of bass boost.

I would think a universal 335DW is more likely than a universal 335DWSR. But at this point in time, your guess is as good as mine :D

The only option for you is to get a sample of 335DWSR. It's quite realistic. I have bought a sample of 335DW from a local seller in Moscow. Sound is beautiful, fit is perfect, quality is exceptional. And now I'm looking for a chance to get a sample of SR.

I might be mistaken, but I thought FitEar didn't allow the sale of sample/demo units.

Their authorised re-seller like Jaben in Singapore will not sell the demo units, but not sure of other re-sellers in other parts of the world though.

I dug into the history of this a little and managed to get an answer. Early into the MH335DW beginnings (early 2012?) Russian FitEar dealers managed to get "purchased" demo units of MH335DW which subsequently got sold at exorbitant prices. I hope current (and future?) demo units are fully FitEar-owned so that this doesn't happen again. But then again, it's not my business.
