The cable that my MH335DW always needed. It's a prototype for the moment. Will get authority from maker to release the name. We had 3 other head-fiers & Suyama-san himself try it out today and think the overall response is quite positive.

What a smart decision to choose that $68.28 ToTL mini jack:

That cable really should have a substantial cost since they finally picked such best of the best component from Taiwan.

I really like this jack actually. It's gorgeous looking, it's easy to grip and pull. The length is a little bit of an issue when I have the DAP in my pocket which is the only time where I wish it were shorter but otherwise when everything is laid out on the table, it's great.

At the Fujiya show, it actually attracted quite a bit of attention from makers (Wagnus, FitEar, etc.).

W00t, I tried to convince Wagnus to start using those superior components from ATL but he kinda brushed me off. I even mentioned that "hole" on the jack should be good for placing his signature Swarovski decoration thingy but he didn't bite.

Let me send him another e-mail and see how it goes this time. It's gotta be awesome when they're happy to build that upcoming tube amp with this input jack

The best part about the ATL plug is that the Rhodium doesn't flake easily like they do on the Oyaide and Furutech plugs.

They over-labeled the face of the barrel, though, making it look a little tacky, and the price is just... frown.gif

I won't be surprised if a lot of these makers (especially the one-man-show's or small businesses) take a lot of pride in using Japanese-only parts. I've actually not talked to Wagnus specifically about this topic but I do know other makers have a quite a bit of pride in an "Japan-only" made parts - possibly even more so with more recent political events.
