^ I know that the ibasso DAP is big, I'd never thought of it as THAT big. I mean, look at how thick it is.....

Yeah, it's also quite a handful if you have small palms like mine. Have seen it in the flesh but didn't try it out to avoid any temptations to spend future money if you know what I mean. Will definitely try it one day when I have ready cash for it and can feel it coming soon. Cheers

Wow - after seeing the ibasso, I no longer have any interest in it. Just too big. It would never be a portable unit for me. That size transitions to desktop. At that point, I have my macbook air and DacPort. Thank you for the photos.

TBH, the RocooBA is smaller than I was anticipating.
I wish the DX100 was smaller and lighter but it earns its size by sounding absolutely fantastic. Believe me, if you have a decent pair of CIEMs, you can find yourself walking around town/commuting with such a huge smile on your face (because of the stunning SQ) that the bulk of the DX100 is quickly & easily forgiven.
Hello!
I'm about to buy Rocoo player. How big is Rocoo Studio V compared to Rocoo BA? Someone wrote that Rocoo V is BA's "bigger brother".
80-hour play time sounds great, but I don't want to carry brick like iBasso.
Has someone got V and can tell measurements?
thanks
edit: ok I see that V model is only a little bit thicker than BA.

The Studio V (not Rocoo V) is about double the thickness of the Rocoo BA but I don't consider it very large regardless. I feel that extra 30+ hours of playback is well worth it. My only problem with the Studio V is it's hiss. If it did not have hiss it would be my main portable (even over the DX100). The Rocoo BA is up there in sound quality with the Studio V with the Studio V being a bit more refined. The Studio V's mid range is clearly superior however.

Hi lee730, how far apart are the mids between the V and BA? Is it very significant or just marginally superior between them? Also, can we use the BA while it's charging thru a wall wart? Many thanks.

The Studio V is noticeably better in the mid range. I can't say night and day but it is noticeable. If your headphone/IEM aren't sensitive the V would be the better option depending on synergy. You can connect both to the wall and continue listening to music.
Thanks lee730, appreciate your insight. I got the BA in the third auction and should be receiving it anytime soon. Will try out the BA for a while and see how it works out for me with my 8.A and SE535.. By the way, do you consider the 8.A sensitive? Thanks.

I don't own the 8A yet but plan on owning it in the near future (hopefully lol). At least from what I've heard the 8A isn't as sensitive when compared to the Miracle but I think it is more sensitive than the SE5 series. That's just another reason why I am tempted by the SE5 series as many have been very pleased with the Studio V with it and the hiss is minimal if any on them.

Thanks guys, just received my BA and it's charging right now. Played with the sample songs in the player thru the FXT90 before charging and I must say, the clarity, sound stage and extension of the highs are truly excellent for the price I'm paying. It's a keeper for me and wouldn't have even consider them if not for this thread. So, thanks to everyone who contributed here. Cheers.

So you like the sound through your FXT90s? I really can't stand the sound of the Rocoo BA with my FX700s due to the prominent treble on the FX700. It just becomes fatiguing and annoying after a short period of listening. I find the Rocoo BA and Studio V to pair very nicely with darker IEMs/headphones.

Yes lee730, it was on the bright side and it was refreshing for me on initial listening as most of what I have are on the warmer side . Pretty sure fatigue will set in for long session but I don't normally listen at high volume so it sounds fine to me. But do note that no sibilance was heard during that short session and was just commenting about the sound as described on the thread which were mostly spot on. I will also like to add that I really like how the bass was being flesh out from a deep position in the sound stage though just lacking a little weight to the note. Will feedback again after some burn in.
By the way, mine has been charging for the last 10 hours and it is still charging. The first time I charged it, it took only about 3 hours and the red light goes off and the blue light came on. Left it playing overnight and was left with only 2 bars on the battery indicator. Can someone kindly give some insight or have experience with this charging issue I have. Many thanks.
