Same experience here. Although, I know for sure that Forza Audio did some mods other than just re-cabling, as Matt was asking me about some particulars. I told him to make it neutral. I do have to ask what exactly he did, but he did an outstanding job.

PETERTEK, that was the one I meant in my post. I've seen some spectacular pictures of modded T90s. Seems to be a very capable business!

I just got the T90 black/chrome today (only 280 on beach camera) and have been listening/comparing with my Q701 nonstop. I'm hearing the sibilance in the treble and it's painful. I love everything else about the sound though, details, very present bass, decent (although echo-y) soundstage.

Does anybody have a recommendation for a specific amp to just cut the treble sibilance?
(Currently running off SABRE 9018 DAC and SABRE 9602 Headphone amp)

Please and thank you. Desperately want to love these headphones for the ability resolve so much detail while also having full bodied bass. (Listen primarily to classical)

So, operafan, here's perhaps a solution for you: ColtMrFire suggests re-cabling by PETREK. I somehow do not find the proper link, but ColtMrFire will sure provide you with the coordinates!

Thanks for suggesting this! Very helpful indeed!

I've been able to pair my T90s with an Audio-gd NFB29 (ES9018) amp/dac and the sinergy had a lot to do with the mastered music I was playing at the moment. Sometimes wonderful but sometimes too harsh.

Now having upgraded to a NOS11 (pcm1704uk), the more musical character of this high end dac/amp, drives the T90s much more smoothly. The trebles remain detailed but more on the smoother side of the spectrum smily_headphones1.gif .

Being ill though from upgradeitis, I' m looking for a headphone-jump from my T90s to the Ether Flows...

Just send a PM to PETEREK, that's the best way to get in touch for a recable.  It might take him a day or so to get back to you, but it's worth it.

I've found that the T90's work well with tubes and they scale well also. They work well with my Schiit Valhalla and my Icon HP8. Others have liked them with the Bottlehead Crack or the Woo WA6. Good luck.

Bottlehead Crack with or without speedball is a very excellent choice for the T90's.
