Mostly because Asia has given aurisonics a TONN of love while they haven't been nearly as popular in the US

I think you are partially right. 

 

I believe that you are right that Asia has given Aurisonics a ton of love but I believe it was also a decision about logistics. They have learned from the hardships with supply and demand shortages they have faced in other production runs and probably determined it best to launch in a single market and then launch elsewhere when the expected ramp up period for production had come to fruition.

I firmly believe the IE80 is king of bass emphasis headphones at the $300 price point. The kicker could be the new hero.
