Does anyone know that which version of ASG-1 has the same sound with ASG-1S signature series?

ASG-1 Revision 3 is the closest to the ASG-1S

The ASG-1S uses the same new driver as the ASG-1.3

While the ASG-1.3 is the closest, the ASG-1S is unique, and thus the ASG-1S is the only thing tuned like the ASG-1S, that's why it's the 1S....But it is pricey

Just got back my AS2's from Dale.   He slightly tweaked them to help meet my concerns and now I'm absolutely thrilled!!

I now hear the clarity, air, and timbre that I felt was missing and what everyone else was hearing in theirs.   Even with the bass port now turned very low, the bass is balanced, powerful, strong and accurate.   I listen to a lot of acoustic female vocals and there is beautiful 3D depth, livliiness and timbre to the voices now.    These customs are now a definate step up from my Sony 7550 and I am extremely happy I purchased them and happy with the wonderful Aurisonic family that so patiently worked with me.

Soundbear is a Dancing Bear with his AS2s, marriage is in the near future!!!

What changes did Dale make to yours?

I just emailed Andy about the upgrade program for the ASG-1.3 to the 2... It is getting too much for me... I keep on reading reviews and its making me want them more... So I might do it sooner than later...

Though this is partially in hopes that I can do a 2 way comparison with the RE400/600 at the end of the month...

Closed the bass ports to about 5% open, put null dampeners on the tweeters to open them up a bit (not a tweak for everyone). Like I said a little goes a long way with the bass ports.

So in slight continuity to the last post...To Dale, and to anyone who may know the answer: Does turning the bass port completely open maximize the bass output? Or is it optimal to actually tune the bass port down a few notches to maximize bass output? Thank you!

I got my ASG-2 black rodium today and I am really happy .These are the ones from the Aurisonis contest and I am reallly greatfull to have them .

They sound great and I can't wait to try them live . They are very detailed and the bass response is really good . You can hear the air inside the bass drum .

I got the clears for $450....couldn't turn it down at the moment...those black rhodiums do look good though. One thing that is difficult with the clears is seeing if the bass knob is being turned up or down. You can tell from turning it, however it is very easy to forget which side is which after a while. Enjoy!
