You can make an order without first having impressions made. So don't worry about that till after the sale date. Might not wanna get rid of your sony source, but I don't know how often a deal like this would come and I remember you from before, you'd probably love the AS-2's as we've discussed previously.

The thought of having a custom iem - made for my ears - that sounds this awesome is really exciting. I would be kind of sad to sell my Sony source as it's probably the best one that I have but this deal may be too good to pass up. What do you do if there's no audiologist's listed on Aurisonic's site in your area? I think there are some listed near me for Westone - would they have the same procedures?

Edited for my spelling errors - guess I'm too excited  o2smile.gif

Actually - I guess I was looking at the AS-1 prices this morning.  I think I'll have to see what the ASG-2 price is or the price to upgrade my ASG-1.2 as I don't think there's a way I can come up with that much in time.  Stranger things have happened so I won't rule it out.  Bummer.

If you do not see an audiologist listed in your area on our website please email us and we will find you one. We are currently adding significant amounts of audiologists to the database in major cities first then out to the smaller areas so we may not have updated your area yet. Also, we do not need your impressions by the special price day but of course we can't start on your order until received.

Yeah, I wouldn't get chrome if you paid me. No offense, just too flashy imo.

Also, yeah I'm a little bummed at the date of the discount. I won't have the funds til the end of December =/

Flashy? Naw I haven't had any problems regarding that at all. A little attention here and there but it's not the most noticeable thing I mean gold is way more flashy.

Most of the time I find eyes drawn to them after I set them down.

I know I would and that's what's killing me tongue.gif.  I'm trying to see what I can do though I'm pretty certain I'd have to go with the basic frosted finish which is absolutely fine.

Other than the nub being a bit different, will the fit of the ASG-2 be the same as the ASG-1? I think the fit of customs would be better for me but my wallet and I seem to be having a disagreement.  I'm currently using my ASG-1.2 to listen to the Tales of Hoffman (opera) and am really enjoying them.  I really love the weight in the bass and cello.

Somehow one of the filters in my ASG-1 got tilted, so I tried to use the wax tool to reach in there and re-adjust it, but I just made it worse. wtf do i do

My dry sense of humor is difficult to catch on the internet. I'm a pretty darn nice guy.

Maybe I'll just hold out til the ASG-2 upgrade.

Get a pin, poke into it (slowly with a twisting motion to not dig it deeper), And wedge it back up where it should be.  Might take some patients :p  Or...  You can contact Aurisonics CS and they should replace it :p

Great question! The ASG-2 still has its roots from the ASG-1, however, the nozzle angle is different and the overall shape is smoothed a bit more as well as the nub area is taken down quite a bit. There is still enough there to do its job but without the extra protrusion like the ASG-1.  The nozzle has a few tricks up its sleeve as well. Also, no more possibility of the issue Anoxy is having with his filter material either.
