To my ears the3 has more of a bass impact and not as cludy in the middle then the 4.

I see, I found the W3 to have some sort of a bloated bass. Although I preferred the highs more than the W4.

I tried the atrios, my friend pretty much liked them, but for me, not really...

If you E the bass down then they are very neutral and the mids and highs are warm.

I see, though I don't really like to use EQ, because I find it kinda too complicated sometimes.

I don't know if my Walkman has the bass toning down EQ though, don't really know how to use it. I only know how to boost highs on my W4R, but don't use it

Thought it has a 5 band EQ if so then the band to the left can be lowered 1 notch.
