No 1 end of the 3.5 goes into your Line Out from the DX100 or source and the other goes into your Line in (input) on the amp. :P.

Because the DX100 is superior to it and Tupac has come to realize this himself owning both units (the best people to get the info from :).

thanks very much, i was worried that i dont know how to find a lineout cable when i get my dx100 or other dap lol

I love 801 for sure. and I have been using it much longer than dx100. But after listening to dx100, and my desktop DAC, 801 still sounds good, but the tone is a bit off to my ears, because of the roll of treble , the little bit roll off bass and the lower mids hump. Making it sounds soft and crowded with a weird presence of mid bass region instruments. Just like people saying on the erji.net. 801 has its flavour and is very enjoyable with certain genres. I guess I have passed that period that I wanted to be impressed by colored gears. Now I just want the most accurate and neutral sound and that's what dx100 offers. Hopefully 901 does too.

Hmm... looks like Fang was showing off the 901 at the Tokyo show.

Perhaps it's not too far back in the works eh?

Interesting. Better UI...
I'm waiting to get more info on this vs the DX100. If it has a better battery life and at least 1/4th and 1/8th, I'll seriously consider it over the Dx100.
(Especially if Average Joe give it a good rating for the JH16/Hidition 6...)

same here, waiting for comparison with the dx100 but leaning towards the dx100. does hm901 even support 24 bit 192khz?

doesnt mean it will support 24 bit 192khz, can be just 24 bit 96khz.

Yeah it does. But it doesn't have a 1/4 Jack. There is no room for it. I'm pretty sure it will support 24/192. If not that is a big disadvantage for this product. I don't think Fang would skimp on that area :).
