Looking for a DAC for between £150-300

Currently using a pair of Ultrasone PRO 2900s, this amp and an Asus D2X.

 

Looking at spending £150/$240USD, plan on using the optical from the onboard chip on my motherboard. Just want to know what a decent upgrade to my Asus D2X would be in that price range. RCA Out would be a bonus.

I'm currently looking at getting the MA TubeMagic D2 or waiting and saving for the Schiit Bifrost.

 

Is the difference between the two significant enough to warrant this? Opinions/Ideas anyone?

I have heard the Asus Xonar STX, not heard the D2X. The tubemagic didnt seem like an upgrade to the STX.

I've been looking at: DacMagic 100, DacMagic Plus, Schiit Bifrost and the Firestone Fubar 4.

 

Which of these is the best and how big is the difference between the DacMagic 100 and Plus.
