Sennheiser IE800 IEM's - Page 26

You guys will kill me for this, but what the heck... I listened to them while in Tokyo last weekend, but forgot to take any notes! I only remember them sounding very good (and I normally don't like IEMs). I did get some half-decent pics though.

Sweet. Can you give any impressions on how the sounded? Details on sound staging, imaging etc. :)

Great photos. Love the new case.

 

Any reflections on how they isolate? Do they seem vented (which I would not mind)? Thanks!

Okay then, I'll put that under the category of "photography trick". It is the featured hi-res image of the IE800 on the Sennheiser website. With the reflections and all, zoomed in it looks pretty real to me:

^ Dang, that looks like a 2.5mm plug on the splitter. I'll be needing an adapter for my wireless headset. mad.gif

That Y-split looks no smaller (if not bigger) than the BA200's gargantuan monster; at least it's smooth, I guess. Also, that plug looks recessed --- may pose some problems?

Yep, unless they completely messed up the perspective in the CGI, that splitter is both closer and smaller.

I want a good pair of IEMs, but I am wondering if I just shouldn't go for the IE80s, 700€ seems a bit steep for IEMs. That being said, I paid 1000€ for my HD800 headphones lol.
