Sennheiser IE800 IEM's - Page 23

Has anyone tried the ie800s yet?

I always rather liked the ie8 will be interesting to see if they have improved upon them. Of course now there is a lot more competition in the iem market so lets hope street price will start dropping. Interested in seeing some quality head-fi reviews on these. Greetings, Anouk,

You can't buy it yet right?

Got news from my local (Austrian) dealer that the IE800 will be available here in week 48, meaning by end of November.

According to recently introduced minimum standards on this forum, I'll burn them in for at least 500 hours, so expect my impressions shortly before Christmas. ksc75smile.gif

James, how about K3003, I don't see it in your signature. You don't really like them?

^ Nah, I've just been lazy with my sig lately. I like them immensely and price difference aside, it will be interesting how the IE800 stack up against them (the old Sennheiser vs. AKG rivalry).

How does the AKG K3003i compare with JVC FX 700?
I do like the sound signature of JVC FX 700 though. Is the sound signature similar for both iems?

And how much of a difference is there between these two iems? I know that's a hard question to answer.
Basically, my question is are you able to tell the difference between these two iems from memory, not compare them side by side?

For example, I'm able to tell the difference between monster turbine copper and JVC FX700 from memory. JVC has more timbre, more spacious, more treble, less mids... etc.

The AKG K3003i spread out the soundstage with great height, wideth and depth. Also shows rich details in mids, extended highs and deep punchy bass, overall they are comparable to highend CIEMs.
