Sennheiser IE800 IEM's - Page 103

tried the t200 earlier but it muffled the sound the fit was great though i didnt have to re adjust all the time.

I even tried tyll's method of inserting the tips. i'm using the medium sized tips if that has anything to do with it.

I am using stock tips which was on the earphones when i purchased them and do not have any troubles with the fit.
Inserting them as deeper as possible and the isolation + fit is perfect.

But cable microphonics is really awful on this model.

I've been using IE800 for a week and a half now.

At first i was little bit dissapointed with them. But now i really love them. I agree that this earphones are worth the price (bought them for 700$)

SQ is twice or even more better than on IE80... Now i do not want to even listen to IE80 because they sound really bad after IE800...

Glad i bought this exceptional product !

I share your opinion on the IE800's.  I was at first disappointed in them but grew to love them.  And like you I no longer enjoy my IE80's like I did before.  The IE800's are so much better.  I'm glad you enjoy them!

Still the best universal I've heard.

ASG-2, CK100Pro, K3003 can't compete overall either technically or how good they can portray a true diverse selection of genres.

It's a masterpiece with a slight (only slight) too boosted bass that work perfect when using them outside(where they are meant to be used).

My big problem is the microphonic cable. I just don't understand how Sennheiser can make such a huge blunder.

I'm one of the lucky few who can wear them around the ear but it's still unacceptable in my book.

I loved them too.  Best build quality and best sound of any IEM I used.  However, I could never get a great fit with their tips and theres no easy way to use any other types of tips with them.

I'm very fortunate that the default tip (medium?) ended working fine for me.

What is the durability level of these? Does the cable detach easily?

How do people feel about the treble on these?

I had a set for two months and it was ultimately the treble that caused me to return them (money-back policy encouraged me to return knowing that I could pick them up later). I would like a fuller treble, but the non-fatiguing treble of the ie800 had its positive side as well.

IE800 owners, what do you think?

I've just spent 6 hours on a digger then a 'whacker' (British term for a stone leveler) and the phones were not pulled out of my ears once nor cable pulled.

I do not think teh interconnect would come apart easily so I would say teh cable does not detach easily in use.

Hope that helps.

Isolation of these alone was enough to use the machinery without ear ache.
