They're supposed to be worn downwards, but every way you wear them has its pros and cons. Read the Design / Fit section for details.

I found no issue in wearing them over-ear.

I hope not to derail the thread but how comparable are Ultrasone IQ, IE800 and K3003? They are three flagship products all aiming towards audiphiles, all three are made by European companies and are sold world wide which suggest they are not targeting any specific audio culture. What are your thoughts guys?

I have been really tempted to purchase the Ultrasone IQ however I do not mind something with a nice bass as I think it is time for me to move away from the analytical IEM section for a while.

The AKG3003 would be more so on the neutral side of things. The IE800 quite on the sub bass heavy side. Not sure about the Ultrasone but from what I've read they tend to be more U-shaped? I could be wrong though....

Are you running over the ears and in front or behind your head?

Someone offered me the IQ for 600 AUD and IE800 for 720 AUD, the prices seem to be too good to ignore. I am leaning towards IQ because of the cable design.

Well you don't have that big a head. Nothing to be ashamed of.   :-)

Or maybe my ears are too low eek.gif. Check it out. Otherwise I am listening them, just switched from the 5.0. These iems have amazing dynamics and clarity. It's really such a shame the bass is a bit overboard or these would be the best / among the best universals I have heard.

I am not sure that society has a norm for ear elevation.  :-)

You have neck room for some reason. If I wear over the ears and in the front, the cable becomes a choker.
