Fake Triple fi 10s?

Thread Starter

Hey guys. I was interested in buying a new set of IEMs and I thought UE Triple fi 10's were a good start.

Through some research, I found Amazon had the best price at $180. That is WAY cheaper than any Australian retailer has them listed.

With that being said.. What do you guys think? Fake? Real?
Thanks. smily_headphones1.gif

They're real. This is actually quite a common price for them in Amazon, and can go even cheaper. I know someone who bought his TF10s from Amazon during some sale, but I just can't remember for how much (it was under $150 for sure though.. I think it was the Black Friday sale or something). smile.gif

Compared to our prices in Australia for TF10 it is excellent news.

It is as H20Fidelity said. I was expecting to pay upwards of $300 over here in Aus. $180 is way below my set budget!

I've never actually understood why shops you can walk into have the TF10s for at least over $300, when in Amazon they can be bought for much cheaper. rolleyes.gif

Amazon would have a yearly Black Friday sale on them for $95.

Just bumping in the thread: As at April 13, 2012, there is no fake TF10 anywhere. I think that applies to Ultimate Ears, Westone, Beyerdynamics and Shure. Sennheiser and Monster products are the ones that you need to be aware of.

I'm not so sure about Shure. I remember something about copies a few years ago but I'm not 100%.

because there are people like my parents who don't use the internet - walk in store, and want the best earphones, headphones, etc.

That said, almost everything you see in store nowadays can be bought online.

That's why a lot of companies are facing problems.

Game UK was in liquidation.

Who would have thought that, one of the biggest sellers for games in the UK would have gone bust.

It's because everyone nowadays buys online.

Fake wise:

Only Monster, sennheiser, sony are heavily "fakeyfied"

Other brands like AT, shure do suffer a little, but not to a huge, or even mild extent.

UE wise - I have not seen, read, or bought a fake one.

I got my pair of TF10's off ebay for $170 (I live in Aus). I've never heard any reports of fake TF10's.

same here, that is relitivly normal price nowadays for the tf10, even cheaper if you buy them preowned.
