I actually put an ad on here offering to do just that--but only locally, here in Portland, Oregon. A: I didn't want to go through the hassle of shipping, B: I wanted to actually hear the 770s first before making the swap to see if I actually liked them more than the Denon's. So if you're in my neck of the woods, let me know!

PS: What don't you like about the Beyers?

It's not that I dislike them...

Maybe they don't have the "twinkly highs" that I've read the D2000"s have.

My older ears are starting to like those more and more.

Well, if you want a "temp swap with option to keep", let me know.

I like the 770's, but have a pair of 990/250 on the way.

Hoping for a little sparkly sound.

The Beyers are SOOOO comfy, and the bass is great.

Did I mention that they are SOOOO comfy?

Well I just had the opportunity to listen to the DT770's at Guitar Center and am an owner of modded D2000's. I have this to say about the unamped DT770:

-The low end was surprisingly heavy, more so than the D2000's.

-They really exposed the low-kbps mp3's streaming from Pandora in comparison to some lossless files on my iPhone.

-The stock DT770 are even more comfortable between the band and velour pads.

-They isolate much better.

-They just don't sound AS good as the D2000's.
