It's when it is worn straight-down that it becomes a problem. Unfortunately, the shape of the Heaven IV just isn't conducive to over-the-ear wearing, much like the shape of the ER4. It just looks silly when either the Heaven IV or ER4 is worn over-the-ear.

Nope, I was talking about the BA200.

I can't think of a reason not to wear the BA200 over-the-ear. It doesn't work very well otherwise. Functionally, it's opposite from the ER4 and Heaven IV; these two IEMs are really designed for a straight-down fit.

I got to agree, the BA200 tend to be loose if wore down the ear. Hmm, judging by what you said about the Heaven IV, they seem pretty good, I guess I got to go down and try them the next few days!

Hmm, I wore the BA200 like you, over the ear and cable down in the front and didn't get any noteworthy microphonics. Did you use the chin slider to secure the cable?

Nope, I left the chin slider completely down, perhaps that's the reason. But getting skeptical to use it again since I used it once to keep them and the flat cable twisted, and I don't even know how that happened :O

Had a chance to try these Heaven IVs yesterday. It overall has a bright and cold sound signature. Detail retrieval, clarity and soundstage are all pretty good, but I felt the mids were lacking, giving more attention to the highs which may sound a little hollow in return. The lows doesn't really draw much attention, the generic Final Audio lows found in the FI-BA-SS. The highs were good, however, I found it a tad bit too much for me as it is really fatiguing and hard to listen for at least an hour or so. Therefore, although these have good detail, clarity and soundstage, I would say I don't really like them.

Huh? Are you sure you tried the Heaven IV? That doesn't sound a single bit like what I heard them as...

Er, yeah I did, I tried them out at Jaben, but I think they are the prototype, perhaps they are a little different, or we hear things differently?

I've got the Heaven IV in my ears.

My impressions are definitely more inline with Tom's. These are actually a lot nicer---both in build and sound---than I expected. I'll get some impressions up soon, though I'm a little swamped this morning.

The prototypes are supposed to be very different from the production run. I haven't heard any of the prototypes, but people who have said they were very different. To me, the Heaven IV has way less highs than both the SS and A1/SC. It also has bass levels closer to the SB.

I see, that's why! I was wondering if I was listening to the wrong earphone, the one I tried didn't appeal to me, to say the least.

Definitely give the Heaven IV another chance if you happen upon the non-prototype version. It sounds great IMO!

I will, but that's quite unlikely for now.

I was there a day before you. You must have tried the wrong pair as my impression is more inline to the others. It is overall an mid centric sounding IEM to my ears. Pretty good sounding, but nothing spectacular.

Really? The mids sounded shrill, I don't know why. Which Jaben were you at?
