Is there a guide on how to change the ear pads ? Cause my came with the leather ones attachted and I wanna try out the "foam" ones.
I saw some people breaking their pads and I don't wanna risk that, so any advice would be helpful:)

I've done it a few times and you really can't do any damage. If you pinch them inwards so the padded part cups in your hand then they'll come out no probs. Do the same when you put them. The clips are thin and flexible.
seems like they changed the design because I remember older hifimans having big and thin plastic clips.
Sorry for offtopic, but maybe something can will try he-500 with Celine Dion - All By Myself and tell me impressions with he500 ? for me this song is amazing, voice are so strong...

I'm out of town for a week and i miss my HE-500's
These guys really are something else when it comes to female vocals...quite a big departure from the HE400s which I've been using for quite a while.
If you like her, there is an SACD of her popular songs, including All By Myself. It's worth getting an SACD player if the music you like is available on it.

I love my sacd discs for carole king and many other singers.
I just got my new HE-500s yesterday. After the initial intimidation of unpacking them, they're paired with a Dragonfly dac and an Asgard amp. I'm totally blown away at the clarity of these babies. I was going to ask for a link pointing to how to change the pleather to the velours, but I saw a link to a youtube video a page back. I listen mostly to jazz (old and new) and I'm extremely pleased. I tried some electronica (Madison Park) and was really impressed at the female vocals. Up until now my favorite phones have been the Senn HD-600; we'll see what settles out when the honeymoon with these winds down. Several have recommended the Lyr over the Asgard for these phones, but I'm quite satisfied with the Asgard. That, of course, might change if I could compare them side by side. I'm looking forward to sampling other genres through these phones.
Does anyone know if the LCD-2 headband and yoke fit the HE-500?
I was planning to mod them for aesthetic and comfort reasons.
Thinking about Indian Rosewood and LCD-2 leather headbands.
Something like these for the cups.
What do you guys think?
I think is looking more better than lcd 2, but sound for all gentres better lcd 2
