Looking for closed cans for gaming for around $100

I understand there are many gaming headphones out there that provide a mic and 5.1 sound, however I am not convinced they are the best bang for the buck. Currently I am using Audio Technica AD700 with a zalman clip-on mic. I love the combination however my gf hates them since they are open air. At my price range, what would you guys recommend? If all-in-one gaming headphones are the best solution, I am on okay with. Just need to know.

 

I will be using these headphones with my PS3 to play games like battlefield. I want to avoid super boomy headphones.

 

My set up is

PS3

Pioneer Kuro 500m

Denon AVR1910

Audio Technica AD 700 plugged into receiver

Zalman mic plugged into USB audio device

 

So it be a shame to bypass a good receiver but I do like a simple solution as the headphones are only for fps games. Another option would be an external amp that works with the ps3 and a new pair of headphones

Maybe the HD428

 

I never did use mine for gaming but for audio, they don't have very boomy bass, despite what the product description tries to tell you. For sound stage, they weren't great but not bad either, pretty normal I would say. Definitely won't be as good as your open set of cans though.
