What are some of the most epic songs of all time? - Page 2

Man,the day you are going to die you are probably going to hear about two possible epic songs:

If you are going to paradise -->  Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven

If you are going to entry the gates of Hell --> Slayer - Postmortem

But unfortunately in my opinion we are not going to hear anything after life...

Here are a few for me.

Nomeansno - Victory

Porcupine Tree - Sky Moves Sideways

Jimi Hendrix Experience - 1983 ( A mermaid I should turn to be )

Meshuggah - I

Strapping Young Lad - Detox

Stranglers - Grip

Infected Mushroom - Becoming Insane

Broken Social Scene - Cause = Time

Just off the top of my head.

Lux Aeterna is requiem for a dream right?  So what is requiem referring to?  The one by mozart?

Yes, Mozart's Requiem.

And yes, Lux Aeterna is Requiem for a Dream.

Especially Stairway from How the West was Won

Epic? It's has to be Michael Kamen's Robin Hood soundtrack. You could fry an egg and make it look epic!

Any Dream Theater song, really.

I found the most epic songs ever. They are by Immediate Music and Two Steps From Hell.

Immediate Music - Lacrimosa

Two Steps From Hell:

Archangel

The Last Stand

Strength Of A Thousand Men

To Glory

United We Stand, Divided We Fall

Protectors Of The Earth

Moving Mountains

I have concluded that Two Steps From Hell is the epitome of Epic music.

Let Down by Radiohead. If there was one song I could go back and listen to for the first time again, it would be that.

Also, King Me by Lamb of God was damn epic. The last minute and a half or so just blew me way.

Oh man, there are tons!

First off, the obvious and the definition of epic: Europe - The Final Countdown

Also:

GN'R - November Rain

Nightwish - listen to their entire new album Imaginaerum on youtube. There's one where the whole thing is gapless and it's awesome.

So many more though too...

Right?

I mentioned 'Once' earlier. That stuff could be used in any epic trailer today.
