for sale is a pair of Grado SR-225 I bought it here at head-fi a while ago and don't have the pizza box anymore.  I also had the wood cup leather head band made from another head-fier.  I don't use it much as I'm using the K701 and dared MP-5 exclusively.  it is in good shape and sound excellent. $170  $160 $150/BO  include shipping and paypal in the US.  Let me know if you are interested.  Thanks.

do the wood cups do anything for the sound?  or are they just cosmetic?

it actually does change the sound.  IMO, it add a little more impact and articulation to the sound.  There are many thread around here disscused the woodie cups if you search for it.  I also include the original cups in case you want to change it back.

It was made by another head-fier who, I meet while he was going to the university near me.  It was more than 3 tears ago and he since graduated and left town. I don't remember his handle on here to be honest with you.
