I guess, maybe the house sound of this iem is tuned by George Cardas based on a "Home Speaker".

I totally agree! The more I listen to these the more I feel the same way. The soundstage is so much bigger and more accurate than other IEMs and even though most people prefer the white tips for better isolation, I am hooked on the blue tips. They open it up even more and the bass seems more accurate and there is more "air" to the sound. Give the blue tips a try and tell me what you think. The bass slam is still there and I could get lost listening all day if I had the time. These are the best audio purchase I have made in a long time. My LCD-2s have not seen much use lately and that says a lot.

+ 1 with Blue tip.......biggrin.gif

Initially when I first started listening to these I needed the blue tips to counter the heavy bass.  Now it seems like the bass is tamed and I need the white tips to get satisfying but not overwhelming bass.  I get very little low-end at all now using the blue tips.

Out of curiosity, what are folks using to store the EM5813s?  The supplied pouch is woefully inadequate!

The headboard on my bed has build in cabinets and I store the IEM's in the top shelf ! I had read on the forum that a cat had chewed the cable off a members IEM and last night I caught our cat chewing on my Carda's that I'd left on the dinning room table ! Turns out there was no damage but I won't leave them in the open any longer :{

Wow - we have 2 cats in the house!  I better start hiding these things.

Thanks for the suggestion for a storage case.  Are these relatively non-bulky for travel?

I have a few that I take in my work bag, they can be somewhat bulky, 1.5 x 5 x 3.5 for the smaller size, but they do a super job in protecting your valuable earphones.

Thanks - think I'll give one a try.

This may work as well, but from a brief search I couldn't find the size.

LOL - I forgot that I have one of these guys!  Just dug it out of the back of a dresser drawer.  It works well.  Thanks for the idea!
