Soulmate. EM5813 neutral to dark, DX50 Neutral to bright. My EM now maybe 200 hour of burnin.
The bass of EM become more controlled, the detail greats, wide soundstage, good depth, good ambience & timbre, more 3d. I prefer it than my Fit 111 in vocal.

I'm really not sure what your point is here.   If you want to know how they sound - try a pair and decide for yourself.  As for the rest, i think you've actually answered your own question, but have simply not realized it yet.

Whenever an audio component has a sonic characteristic that gives it an 'amazing clarity or any obvious quality', it turns out that it was really a flaw not a virtue, but it initially generated attention and/or interest. I think the strength of the 5813s is how they present the music, and that they have an intrinsic 'rightness', and there is really no other word for it.  They make a lot of other iems sound wrong, broken, or really colored.  This is not too say they will satisfy every preference, but they are not a me-too product in any way, shape or form.

I think the the 5813s are starting to show people a different way of presenting music, and that it sometimes takes time to accept a new 'mode of presentation', for lack of a better term.  Whether there is a publicly disclosed scientific explanation for why they work the way they do, is largely irrelevant.

Ergonomically, they are not perfect- they are a bit heavy, and the cable is a bit thick/stiff/cumbersome, but with the clip, it is more than manageable.

So, my review would not include a paragraph (or a few lines) about the bass, the mids, the treble, the image, etc...  it would be as follows.

When i listen to music thru the 5813s I note that tracks take less time to play - listening to the first track from a folder almost always turns into a listening session of the whole folder, and then more folders.  I tap my foot more, boogie down, air guitar, whatever more with these than any others. I smile more when i am using them, and i do not pick up my Nook or smart phone to "read" while i am listening to them. They give me more insight into the tonality of the instruments being played on the recording, and the talent of the musicians.

Now, do you get it?

The only thing I find odd with that is that when I really like something, music transcends time, transports me and seems to play longer. More experience to be had.

They sound like they're quite good if a a bit warm. I think Joker has a pair for review. Will be nice to get an unbiased take.

Why do you think his (or other opinions) are bias? Well as unbias as anyone can be giving their own subjected opinion.

Not necessarily biased but he does have a financial interest. I do trust that they're very good and am not saying his situation is influencing him but it could, even unknowingly. We can all get a bit biased towards things we own or want to like. The number of items we've heard affects our perspective as well. Human nature that I've always felt I could read though on Joker's reviews. I just trust Jokers opinion and wealth of experience more than others. It wasn't meant to be any sort of personal affront. We're all human. I guess I should say I feel Joker's reviews are less biased than others.

Hmmmn? Okay. Well I have no financial interest in the Cardas and I think it's one of the best universal earphones I'ver ever heard (easily in my top three). Then again maybe bias (whatever that might be) is just making me want to love them (or making me think that I do).

We've read each other threads for awhile here in this forum. So you know I don't have any problem saying that some phones that cost half of $400 (or even less) sound better than the more expensive ones. So cost had no influence on my subjectiveness. lol Example: I think the H200 sounds quite better than the W4, and the BA200 is not far behind the W4 at all ( I mean very close too).

I've often felt the same about certain products. I wasn't joking.

The BA200 is really under appreciated, IMHO. And the H200 stands as an outstanding earphone for its price.

I am firmly of the mind that the Cardas is easily outperforming in its price range as well.

Mine especially so, as I bought it on Ebay used for about $100 cheaper

thanks, guys for your posts, so i didn't have to post myself .  I am impulsive, and bought the 5813s for myself before having heard them, based on input from a co-worker who had heard the earlier version of them.....

I may be biased in terms of the sonic presentation I like, but I am not posting favorably about these so my company can sell more of them.  Besides, if they do not sound the way I say they do, or if I mis-describe them, it would hurt both my credibility and sales, as Music Direct has a very liberal return policy. I've also posted very favorably about some JVC iems that MD does not sell, and will not be selling anytime soon that I know of.

I am glad that I bought these, and still dig them very much. I hope others enjoy them as well.  My earlier comments about these were as much to describe how I evaluate gear as they were about the 5813s in particular, and to call-out people who comment about things they have not heard themselves, or who make inappropriate critical remarks that could be unjustifiably damaging to others.

for me, it is a "time flies when you are having fun" kind'a thing.  It's the same thing, really - it takes you out of youorself in a sense, and is transcendental, without  the curry or the patchouli!
