Good luck with them! You can also try the bass filters while at it, while I don't like it, there's a bunch of bass and suddenly sounded more full!

True, although it seems they sounded quite weak and unoffending compared to many IEMs I have tried, even the Westone 2s, which I thought so.

By the way, neutral does not = to natural. Well, to me anyways. Natural to me means sounding like a concert or speaker, akin to real life.

Then they are natural. It's like a concert in your head. Everything about them!

Even compared to the IE8s? Which are thought to be like that?

Well, IEMs like the ER-4 are very neutral, but sounds quite unnatural or what you call "fake".

Well I'm sitting here now with IE8s in my ears a I'm a/bing them with my asgs, able planets and HFs.

The mids are no where near good enough to e like a concert and the bass is stupendously unrealistic, I mean you don't get veiled mids when watching a band live. Also soundstage is so distant that your not at a concert but a near by bar. Asg has better mids, bass is so muh more controlled but very punchy and detailed. Mids are well phenomenal and the shoutyesque effect is just like being at a gig. Soundstage is huge but your a lot nearer. ASG-1 >>>>> IE8

Sounds like you really dislike the IE8s. Was the bass at the minimum?

Of course any more and it goes ridiculous! No i don't dislike it at just think people like it too much. I think the bass is really good its just to unrealistic to be like as thats what i was comparing them at.

Also i agree on the etys sounding fake.

Well, I guess that's what you could call them, they have kinda too much sub-bass, as people have mentioned, now the IE80 focuses on better quality. Have you tried putting the bass at maximum? Seeing how it feels?

sound-stage wise, asg-1's put the ie8's to shame ;)

IE8 just have like a speaker 10miles away

ASG-1 has you 10 miles away, yet with headphones of what is going on-stage.

In other words:
ASG-1>IE8

soundstage wise.

Yeh i have had a mess about and it just goes out of control. The fun stops on like the 2nd notch and then it goes too far. I enjoy most on one notch. Nah no way has it got to much sub-bass, you can never complain with two much. I like the bass and it works and is enjoyable but its just not realistic enough like the ASG-1 for concert experience.

Thats what I've heard and leads me wanting to try it. Don't know if i will and to for a long time anyway.

Correct-ish, not quite 10 miles away for anything with ASG-1, its nearer in my opinion. I think ASG-1 > IE8 everywhere but bass quanity but mid and sub.

Dubbed I've never understood why you did not like the IE8, its surely the bass head dream?

Hmm, well, I guess so, the bass doesn't tend to hit hard too. He says the IE8 has not enough bass for him (LOL)

Not only that...

But what really got me...more than anything and got me going: WHY SENNHEISER WHY!???

Was their jack.

Possibly the worst jacks I've ever used.

With interferences and disconnections.

Even £5 earphones have better jacks.

Oh and bass wise, yeah sure, if you can get a triple flange tip on it...and shove it into your ear.

Didn't fit me all that well, but it wasn't fit that really got me...

Put it this way:

For the price, you can do MUCH BETTER
