And a local gunpla shop said that one of the best grunt model MG with awesome articulation (eg. for each fingers) is the Jesta or something.
EDIT: Gah! I just found this: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN970963/

DAMMIT!

The HG and MG Jesta / Jesta Cannon is great.  I have the Kshatriya and it is very top heavy and hard to balance.

But the SD Ksyatria is so cute looking!

Lol they need a 1/100 mg kyshatria... Given that they high grade is already as big as some master grades... It would cost a ton too tongue.gif

They tried, but they concluded during development that the frame will not be able to support the weight.  However, there are couple of 1/100 scale resin kits for the brave.

Sadly, science wins for now... Too bad though, since the moment that I saw Ksyatria in action, I'm in love with it.

So GUNPLA Expo made a visit to Malaysia this week and today I went there. Not a huge expo, but enough attractions to make me drool. There's this dark booth that showcases this neat mapping animation onto a 1/60 all white RX78-2 with white boxes around it. On it, images are projected with utmost accuracy onto each panels of the Gundam, from its original colours, to some of its alternate decorations like real colour (the brown army colouring), a scrolling xray view of the structure, swanky neon colours. The boxes around aren't excluded, and on it showed from the first boxart of the RX78-2 back in the 90s, up to the newest MG v3. Of course, the Gundam itself was matched to the way how they looked assembled from those boxes.

SADLY, in my stupidity, I didn't film it. I don't think the guy overlooking the booth would let me though.

And here's some pics from my phone of some of the showcased models on hand:

They are promoting the newest series quite heavily, and I'm actually very interested in it now. Why? Well, it's because of the ad for the new line of HG coming out for them. They say that the new models are made with modularity in mine, and what I got from the moonspeak, it seems that this time the HG will have some body parts have inner frames and modular attachment points so that you can exchange armour parts with other models (maybe of the same line, maybe with other ones too, I'm not sure).

Some HG displays, and to be honest, I think HG is the way to go nowadays if you're cramp for space. I mean, they look so much better now compared to what I bought for HG a few years back, and kind of regretted buying a MG (which is a lie as you will see later on in this post).

The clusterf*** that is the Gundam 0 series and AGE (and regarding the latter, have some amazing looking suits, albeit a bit too flat, primary colour'd and simple).

And now for some locals assembled models; some even made finalist in 2012's Gunpla Build World Cup thing. Don't mind the reflection on the perspex...

The Unicorn and Banshee, both in Destroy mode, made an appearance:

And now this, my friends, are awesome:

I assume that from the front, there's a black light shone on the models, making the vents glow all neon like and 9001 times exponentially more awesome than they are.

And as for me, I gots me some free swag:

Well, that action base isn't free of course...

But

I got meself some 1/60 model:

And I got something silly:

Something masterful

And something real

Great pictures! Apparently the first episode of gundam build fighters is out, but i never really bothered with it. I think they showed an mg x gundam prototype.

Dude imagine if someone went up to you and said "do you have time to talk about our lord aeolia schenburg"... Ah gundam 00.

Well, the guys that worked at the expo are all gunpla builders, and the two that I talked with liked UC most. And one of them is even a grunt lover like me. Mental is what that expo is. Mental.
