Yeah i do..even through the matrix i heard things i never heard in my music..i started to listen even to songs i dont like..just for the sound quality the he500 gives;) and with the 337 it only improved...redface.gif:D

How's the weight and comfort for you with the he500. It was always a little too heavy for me. While the he400 was just right.

Weight is indeed something i had to get customed to...and the pleather tended the phones to move on my head..so i think because of that also it felt more heavy..but with the velours ones the comfort is good..and the sound got better! More open and articulate...now i dont even have the feeling its heavy..but the sound! Wow..

Yes i actually did..i used the matrix to burn in the he500's..5 days non-stop playing..and he didnt give a peep.. biggrin.gif .i used the hifiman hm602 as the source...and i am serious now..it sounded really good! Even to a point i used it as refence to the two darkvoices i was interested to buy..the guy had both of them to sell..i wil tell u..the 3322 was NO MATCH against the little matrix...everything was better on the matrix! The knob never get passed the 2 pm on my matrix..for the price..its unbeatable..check other forums..more people say they pair surprisingly well...i dont know how it compares to the master of power the lyr..but that amp is twice the price..and u need to tube roll to get the best out of it..my matrix is up and running when u switch it on..and for sale now.. tongue.gif : for ur info..its bought in december last year. So almost new.

That's nice, I'm waiting for my HE-400 to pair it with my modded Matrix... will tell you guys how it sounds.

Wow congrats on the 500s! I have a modded Matrix, I bought the mod as discussed in the Headphonia article. I totally agree with you about the quality, but I also have a little dot mark III, with military Mullard Tubes. I prefer the tubes.

Am sure if it sounds as good on my he500's he will sound good on ur he400 as its easier to drive..it sounded heavely on my he300 i had..its on sale now by the way....but..check tamaudio.com..for his mod. I bought that mod..and my mstage got elevated to a new level..and its plug and play..and cheap mod...

Thanks! But tubes normally dont pair well with electro dynamics as those need lots of power . Thsts why i was surprised how well the 337 did..okay with special tubes...but am glad u found the combo little dot with those tubes good...

Maybe the modded version does who knows. I came across some op-amps here but not sure which is best for the m-stage. I'll probably order it after i've used the m-stage for a while and get accustomed to the sound.

Well I doubt it really, but I hope it sounds good at least. Listen to the OPA2134 for a while, and after that ---> the m-stage thread or pm me biggrin.gif
