I also want to add this is noted on the website on Friday (the day after I ordered):

"On all items, stock may be limited though we think we will have enough. If an item sells out before we can update the website, we will send you an email. You will have the option of keeping the order at the sale price until we can get more stock (which could be a few days to a few weeks) or cancelling the order."

So cancel your order and order it from amazon and you'll still have it faster?

I would be glad to if I knew what my order status was. I have not been replied to yet. I don't want to order a second one if mine has shipped.

hey, I was just reading that the HE-400 have different revisions. What is the latest revision? How would you tell which revision you received and which revision is "the best?"

The HE-400's are basically the same price everywhere, although some places include free velour pads and some do not. RazorDog Deals offers free velour pads. Headphone.com has the HE-400 for $299 as well. Need to pay for the pads - but for faster shipping I'd do it. I ordered early on Thursday so there's no way stock should have been gone by the time I placed my order. Still waiting for shipping confirmation on my order placed Nov 27. If my order is delayed I will never deal with HeadAmp again.

hey zalithian, i just placed my order for the he-400 on razer dog & I legit JUST received a shipping notification like 15 minutes later. If you are trying to get these headphones ASAP & want the velour pads, I would recommend cancelled your previous order and just ordering from razer dog. that was amazingly fasttt. i was really shocked.

Ordered mine on Thursday from Amazon right before leaving for the airport.  It shipped last night and I just got it.  The power of prime.  Listening right now.

Prime is amazing. Too bad I didn't use it on the HE400. I did use prime for my HD600 though which I just got. I should get my HE400 Wednesday, along with my modi and vali smily_headphones1.gif

What price do dealers pay for the HE-400 when they order them from HifiMan?

I think HifiMan makes them for around $50-$70, dealers buy them for around $150-$200, and dealers normally sell them for $399.

God people are so impatient. There is NOTHING more annoying than reading people whining about shipping and a max of one or two days "lost"

Serious audiophiles hate waiting. It's a hobby that revolves around luxury. I know this on a day to day basis LOL and I completely empathize and understand.

Saying "I will never do business with [company] again" due to a day or two lost in shipping is just crazy talk, though. Especially publicly like that.

You know what's more annoying than people whining? People whining about whining. You know what's more annoying than that? People whining about whiners and not having any idea what they're talking about.

The delay would have been WEEKS because they ran out of stock and had to re-order more. So, yes. I think most people would be upset if they ordered a product that was specified as in stock and then found out that they might have to wait 2 to receive it when they could have simply ordered it elsewhere and received it in a timely manner. Thank you for your great contributions to the discussion. Rather, thank you for whining about people who are whining and also for giving input when you don't know the situation.

I would like to add Justin was quick to reply when I got in contact with him and everything is fine.

More than that, but a $399 price is about $350 after free shipping and credit card fees
