Just bought the HE-400 for $299. Glad the sale started today instead of tomorrow. Very excited to hear these cans.

The day after I received your payment, I saw everyone talking about the black Friday deal... redface.gif At least you got a pair of jergs! I'm glad you're enjoying them smily_headphones1.gif

Off topic, anyone have experience with the he300s? They're on sale for $169!?!?

The HE-300 is on sale for $149. I just read a review on them from Innerfidelity or KenRockwell and they loved them.

The HE-300 are wonderful. Great bass, more rumble than the HE-400. I bought them for my fiancee and painted them pink. :P

Just bought the HE 400 from HeadAmp, which includes free shipping and velour pads.  Can't wait for them to arrive!

World Wide Stereo and HeadAmp have good return policies. Most, if not all, HifiMan dealers have a 15% restocking fee if returned. There's no way I'm going to order a product I've never heard and risk a 15% restocking free.

edit: meh  this isn't the place to discuss my bad shopping experience.

Pulled the trigger on some for 299. First new cans in 2 years, I'm pumped!

I bit the bullet and $299 poorer now. 2nd cans in a month. This hobby is getting expensive.

I haven't even read the review.. Maybe I will.

I just can't bring myself to buy something in the HE-X00 series that isn't a planar magnetic.
