Nobody interested in my EQ then? :(

Sat there last night for about 3 hours fiddling with it and trying to get the most sub bass quantity without too much distortion around 70-120hz where it can sound bad.... .

Really liking these headphones recently.... I was listening to them for about 8 hours yesterday going through various genres and surprisingly I found that they are actually pretty good with some metal and rock as well as my usual electronic and soundtracks that I mainly use them for.

I tried your EQ with Audirvana + that I just bought, but it get distortion. Can't listen with it :P

I throw some jazz into the mix now and then and it's always a perfect match. Once you get used to the timbre/coloration in general, it's hard not to like just about anything with these.

:)

Where is the distortion? Maybe you are not using the EQ properly? If it doesn't have auto normalisation you are supposed to EQ down from 0db....

You EQ up a lot in the low KHZ regions. It sounds pretty twisted with Audirvana +.

Yes it will not sound good unless you like sub bass and are using it for electronic music.... Also the quality of the bass in the recording... If it is bad then it will make it worse.... If it is good then you get good bass quantity and not a lot of distortion as the HE400 has almost no distortion anyway....

Aah, that explains it. I don't listen to EDM very often. That's why I like the balanced preset more I think.

Right this is annoying me now....

I am trying to get Electri-Q to work in Foobar...

I have installed and enabled the VST wrapper....

I have then installed Electri-Q and put the .DLL in the components directory....

I have tried selecting every possible folder in the VST wrapper options....

But I will NOT find Electri-Q so I cannot use it....

Does anyone know why this is please?

Assuming you're using George Yhong'sVST wrapper, if you right click on the VST icon in the system tray and click VST Setup, you should be able to select the folder where you drop you electri-Q dll file.

This is what mine looks like. I think this is the folder you selected during the electri-q installation.

Thanks for the reply...

I already did that and it wont find Electri-Q....

I tried it with the easy-Q and it finds that but Easy-Q does not seem very good.... Too small and fiddly to use...

I would like to get Electri-Q working...

I have added the components folder as well as any possible folder it could be in but it won't bring up the option to load Electri-Q when I go to the VST tray icon and try to select "use VST effect" there is nothing there...

Sure try this. It seems like the creators of Electri-Q are stopping development, this should be the last version.
