They told me it would be a few weeks to get a replacement driver, so they just sent me new ones. Still no tracking number, though. If they sent it via UPS Ground on Weds, it should be here tomorrow at the latest, I'd think. Honestly dude, send them an email every other day until you get a response. Peter didn't reply to me for a week, though.

From my experience, I'm not impressed at all with their customer service.

I'll probably sell mine anyways, but I don't want to wait 2 months to get them back either. Next time I buy "expensive" headphones I'll try to get them from Amazon. When you need something replaced (sold by Amazon) they send it to you right away even before you return the defective item.

I'm not very impressed either, despite them sending me brand new ones... because that's exactly what any reputable retailer/manufacturer should do.

Hmm....after 3 weeks of waiting I emailed the guy (again) yesterday and my only response was an email with a priority mail tracking number.

Nothing about if what he's sending is a repaired unit or a new one, no explanation about if there's was an actual problem with the headphones, no sorry for the delay and the inconvenience...

So hopefully this will be my first and last time dealing with Beyer customer service.

I would email peter@beyerdynamic-usa.com and tell him about your lackluster CS experience. He's a product manager I believe. Who knows, maybe you can get some free Beyer swag.

The sad part is that it is actually him (peter@beyerdynamic-usa.com) who I've been emailing since day one and he was the one who emailed me today the tracking number without any details of what happened.

They look like a mash-up of a V-Moda and a Marshall Major to me, and even though I like each of those individually, the fusion doesn't work. They look nondescript at best.

Interesting. Guess you gotta command service with these guys.

They're not meant to be gaudy, if that's what you mean.

I wonder if this would have been the same situation if I have bought the $1,399 T5p instead of the $150 COP.

Probably not.

I'd think not. Peter emailed me my tracking number 10 minutes ago and said it should already be delivered. Sure enough, it was delivered about an hour ago. Yay!

Well I picked up a pair of Ultrasone PRO 750. We'll see if its true that they can handle ridiculous amounts of volume without distorting. ;)

I think I used the wrong words. I don't mind generic-looking cans (TMA-1, HE-Series, etc.), but this one just strikes a bad chord with me.

Hmm that's good to hear, although... I hate to hear that it clips. my Xb 700 can take High Gain High Power, from both my E11 and my Hifiman and the treble HURTS b4 it starts to clip

still... they do look nice and I might check into em <3

Well I've got them on now, playing the song I remember hearing clipping on, and I turned it up fairly loud, waited for the bassy part, 3rd position, and I didn't hear any clipping! I'm running my Bifrost to my E17, +6dB gain, vol 20.

Also wow, these have a lottt of bass. So much that even some songs that I knew had a good amount of punch are bloated on these. So cool that I can change the bass though, makes me able to customize these depending on the song. I think I need to break these in.

After a few minutes of listening to various songs, I'm actually kind of disappointed at how muddy/cloudy these make some songs. I think I need to adjust to their sound, but some songs just sound like they're coming through a bassy fog. No clipping, but foggy. I think they're just good for some kinds of music and others they're not.
