Honestly I'm really conflicted now :/
Not sure if my Guitar Center has the COP and HFI-780 up on display.

Let's get back to the basics. as Bloodflowerz mentioned above;
HFI-780 has:
--sparkle treble
--more forward mids than that of COP
--super high-speed, impactful bass
--overall cool, speedy, tight sound (IMO)
COP has:
--great amount of mid-bass, which is customizable to music or mood
--recessed mids
--moderate treble
--overall, energetic, thick sound (IMO)
And reckon that COP is newcomer while HFI-780 is established set of headphones with lot of good reputations. I believe you will make a right choice.
Cheers,
Keep in mind, Beyerdynamic will be releasing headset attachments for the COP.
When?
Not sure.
Right now, I can't get enough of the COPs.
After burning them in, I prefer them to my HD-25 1 ii's.
Fun set of cans.
BTW - if anyone wants to buy my pair of HD25's, let me know.
They've never been out of the house, and they come in their original box, with accessories.
djkgb,
Yeah, I totally agree with you. COP is indeed a fun set of phones.
BTW, beyer official told me they will add more custom parts (covers, rings or something) to COP "option" category of their website in the next four weeks. I'm planning to buy some if that fits my liking.
Thanks for all of your help. I'm leaning to the COP at the moment as I do love calm, subtle electronica music and comfortable headphones (the M50 gets really REALLY uncomfortable).
I feel for the C.O.P too, but the accesories are only available in Beyer site? they charge postage of EU 40 using DHL, which is a lot, if i were only to buy some plates, headbands etc that doesnt even reach EU 20

+1 I agree with this summarisation. Nicely put.
Thanks dude.
noobandroid,
Seem to be available only in beyer official website.
And the pricey shipping cost is problem.
I hope COP become good seller and every local/web audio shop wants to carry those custom parts.
Regarding custom covers, You can easily do it yourself.
See my custom cover pictures if you're interested in.

Cheers,
Has anyone noticed Beyerdynamic is using Headfonia's quote on all the worldwide homepages. Cool for those guys!
Yep. They(headfonia guys) proudly reported beyer's quotation on facebook. and that was a nice review.

Cheers,
does the material matters? are the hex of standard sizes which we see normally?
The package of COP includes one small hexagon wrench, so you don't have to prepare separately.
Custom cover requires water-proof, paper-thin material.
I used hobby decoration sticker, but you can print your own image, design or pictures by PC printers,
and put the print underside of thin transparent plastic sheet.
i see i see, that clears up my questions a little more
