Beyerdynamic Custom Ones! New Beyer headphones! - Page 3

Yeah OldWine, update please!

I'm getting one of these custom sets (it will be my last headphone), and will do comparo's on the sound - especially towards the DT 660-990 series.  Anyone know when they will be taking orders?

It seems Beyer have launched it in Beijing, China yesterday (Fri.) Let me confirm it first.

Once it shows in public, the NDA will expire and i can post more pictures for reference.

That's great news oldwine.

These are already listed at B&H and for just $199. Press release says they will launch mid-August so very soon.

Looks very cool. I hope these have a little less recessed mids than the 770s.

Hi all,

I'll be getting a pair of these later on after my DT1350 and T90 reviews are done. I spoke with Pete Carini today and he said they can be tuned to sound like the DT770 PRO model. Quite interesting indeed.

I like it how you can remove the plates to make it open back headphones

The headphones are always closed.

The Plates are for styling purposes and do not affect the isolation.

"Variable ambient noise reduction". (Beyers words)

Huh? From briefly reading on this headphone concept, I have the same feeling as graphidz:
